Hi, I’m Faye, Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie Tadcaster.
It’s my job to spread the word about Marie Curie and the vital work our nurses are doing in the area, in the hope that one or two people might support us!
Every one of us in the UK will be affected at some point by a terminal illness, and we need support so that we can provide the care everyone deserves at the end of their life. Help us to help more people. Simple as that!
I’m looking to build the volunteer support in and around Tadcaster, covering postcodes in LS24. Our volunteers are invaluable to us, helping us to raise awareness and money in their local communities, through things such as:
- Helping with our public collections at local supermarkets and shopping centres (like the ones we have for the Great Daffodil Appeal!)
- Placing and emptying collection tins in local shops and businesses
- Organising events and encouraging other people to fundraise for us
- Being the friendly face of Marie Curie at all events and collections you’re involved in
Being a Marie Curie volunteer can fit around your own personal commitments, as long as you’re enthusiastic and willing to work as part of a team that’s all we ask. Everyone has different skills to offer, which is why our volunteer networks work so well.
Most of all, you’ll be enabling us to care for and support more people living with a terminal illness in Tadcaster.
I’d love to have you on board and meet all our lovely supporters in person.
If you want to find out more, I’d be more than happy to have a chat or meet up over a cuppa. Give me a call / text on 01274 386 190 / 07525392983, or drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
